Where Your Experience Can Take You
Career GPS reads your actual profile — roles, skills, accomplishments — and recommends where to go next, for people deciding between "keep climbing" and "change lanes". It's a Pro feature.
Ranked recommendations, two kinds
Each recommended role is classified as a progression (the next rung) or an adjacent move (a lane change), with a match score and the exact skills you have vs. still need.
An AI roadmap per path
Pick a recommendation and generate a concrete roadmap for getting there, plus an "explore this path" breakdown with learning resources and certifications.
Salary benchmarks and skill-demand trends
Benchmark ranges per recommended role (with an honest disclaimer — markets vary) and a view of which of your skills are rising or falling in demand.
Grounded in your own pipeline
GPS also reads your tracker: application counts, average match score and its trend, and where applications are stalling — so the advice reflects your actual search, not a generic quiz.
A skills profile you control
Track skills with proficiency levels (they weight the recommendations), and get AI suggestions for skills your profile implies but doesn't list.
Free plan: Career GPS is not included in the free plan — you'll see an upgrade prompt.
Pro ($9 / month or $59 / year): Full Career GPS access: recommendations, roadmaps, benchmarks, trends, and the tracked-skills profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Career GPS base its recommendations on?
Your CareerDiary profile — roles, skills with proficiency levels, accomplishments — combined with a role/skill mapping and an AI layer. It also reads your own application pipeline (counts, match-score trend) so the recommendations reflect your real search.
Is Career GPS free?
No — it's one of the three Pro-exclusive features (with the ATS Simulator and STAR Builder). Pro is $9/mo or $59/yr.
Are the salary numbers exact?
They're benchmarks with an explicit disclaimer, not promises — compensation varies by market, company, and timing. Use them for direction, verify for decisions.
Does it just tell me to "learn to code"?
No — recommendations are computed from what you already have. The missing-skills list per role is specific, and the roadmap is generated for that exact path from your starting point.
